Legally no person is allowed to advertise their property as for sale without a valid COC. The estate agent needs to ensure that an owner has this COC when the property is put on the market.
COC’s may only be issued by a contractor that is licenced and registered with the department of Labour. Certificates remain valid for a period of 2 years, provided no changes have been made to the installation.
COC’s form an integral part of maintenance programs on centres and industrial properties as well. We will assist with auditing installations, reporting on faults and failures as well as the repair process.
If these certificates are kept up to date, insurance companies are quite reasonable in allowing discounts on premiums.
